Determining Trip Cost

Your trip cost is the sum of your pre-paid, non-refundable travel expenses. Your travel expenses are generally items such as airfare, hotel costs, cruises, or land packages.

When you are purchasing your plan, the trip cost you would enter would be the cost of the pre-paid, non-refundable payments that you’ve made so far. As you pay for additional non-refundable travel expenses, you will want to update your trip cost to reflect the new, overall cost.

Itemized Travel Expenses
When travel expenses are itemized, they are assigned to the person with whom they are associated (regardless of who actually paid for them). Expenses like hotel costs or other non-itemized arrangements can be divided evenly amongst all travelers.

Terms and conditions vary by plan and state.
